PATINA PART 2

I’ve resisted making this column about the Patina Volkswagens books I had published, or patina cars in general, as I didn’t want it to seem like flagrant self-promotion.

If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that while I love patina cars, I also enjoy a lot of different styles, from the more in vogue to some that are downright offbeat. I’ve always wanted this column to reflect that.

However, just before book, published in early 2019, had sold out in hardback format and was being reprinted in paperback. Although this first book was a passion project of mine that I’d wanted to write for many years, I was inspired to write my own VW book in the late 1980s after picking up copies of Colin Burnham’s and, both published in paperback.
