THE MAGIC GARDEN

When he opened it, he saw his friend and neighbour, the shepherd. The man looked most upset!

“Woe is me!” the shepherd cried. “Last night, bandits broke into my barn and stole all my sheep! How will I make a living now?”

The farmer sighed sadly. Bandits were unfortunately common in that part of Kazakhstan. He was determined to help his neighbour in his time of need.

“Do not worry!” he said. “I have plenty of land, and I will give you half of it so that you can start your own farm!”

The shepherd thanked the farmer for his generosity! He began ploughing the soil on his new farm
