GRAB AN OBJECT 2 TO 5 MONTHS

WHY?

Grasping an object exposes your baby to the world of play, which encourages both his physical development and imagination. It’s also his first step to eventually being able to feed himself, draw, write and dress. The motor skills and hand-eye coordination he’ll develop when he first learns to grab at objects will aid him in many activities in his life. As he grows, he’ll move from grabbing at objects clumsily to learning a pincer grasp, which he’ll use to pick up smaller objects with his thumb and forefinger.
