There’s a simple reason why Citizen Sleeper relies so heavily on dice rolls: Gareth Damian Martin discovered tabletop RPGs while developing their previous game, In Other Waters. Martin became interested in the hobby after listening to podcasts such as Friends At The Table, and a visit from their younger brother provided the perfect excuse to try running an RPG for the first time. One trip to Forbidden Planet later, Martin was the proud owner of Blades In The Dark, an urban fantasy game that takes place in perpetual night, in a fictional city inspired by Victorian London.
