The first major update to Windows 11, 22H2, is here, and with it, a whole new way of delivering future updates. In this month’s tutorial, we’re going to take you on a tour of all its major new features and a few minor ones, too. Crucially, though, we’re not going to simply provide you with a list of what’s new and improved and then leave you to find it all yourself. No, we’ll show you exactly where to find each new feature and reveal how to make the most of it.
You’ll discover how to make the best use of tabs in File Explorer, add live captions from any audio source (including your own microphone), plus discover some gaming enhancements to boost performance and make games easier to access. Focus Assist gets an overhaul to help improve your productivity by removing unwanted distractions for short bursts, and Task Manager finally gets an overdue facelift to fit in with the rest of Windows 11’s redesign.
And all that’s before we look at the incremental improvements the update brings to key features ranging from Snap Assist to the Start menu. Enough showboating, it’s time to get down and dirty with Windows 11 22H2.
