n the heart of, and largely surrounded by the Julius Nyerere National Park, is the iconic hunting ground of the Selous Game Reserve, for decades a hunting mecca. Coming in to land we could see the hydro-electric power project and dam under construction between the two wildlife areas. Power is needed by the local population of Tanzania. There is an ideal gorge in the Rufiji River, and so progress is coming in the form of a massive dam. Although many are against it, who can blame the government for taking the difficult decision. In time, the dam will
