It was 2019 and it was going to be our last festive season as a family of three.
My fiancé James, 30, and I were expecting the newest arrival to our gang and we wanted to make sure Amelia, now five, enjoyed her last Christmas as an only child.
I’d first found out I was pregnant back in May, after a cold knocked me for six.
‘Maybe you’re just pregnant,’ my sister Gemma joked.
‘Yeah right,’ I laughed.
But two days later, a pregnancy test confirmed she was right.
We’d just moved and were planning on renovating before we tried for another baby.
James and I were both in shock for a while.
Neither of us knew what to think, but as we began booking our appointments with the doctor, excitement crept in.
