PG: The Endurance series is now three years old. With seven events under your belt, have you created a monster?
Well, it’s one I don’t think I can walk away from! When I originally thought of the idea ‘why don’t we do this in the UK?’ I never considered the steamroller effect it would have and the enthusiasm it has been met with; I was quite shocked to be honest. The first meeting we had just enough people out there to avoid losing money, although it was quite close. Without sponsorship and help from clubs we could have fallen at the first hurdle, but it’s obviously gone on from there. So I guess I have created a monster – a nice monster though.
