CERTAINLY LAUREN MACGREGOR, the third place winner in the 2008 Create Your Style Creative Beading Awards with her beautiful creation ‘Daoine Sidhe’ – which is Gaelic for Faerie Folk – must be a sorceress to weave the seed bead magic and produce such an imaginative and innovative jewellery design.
Having just moved into a ‘renovator’s dream’ (aka the money pit) in Pascoe Vale in Victoria, a room has already been set aside as a studio for her beadwork. This is in the hope that the seed beads will stay in one room; however Lauren’s partner Daniel is probably skeptical about that and the beads will probably sneak out into other rooms.
