Ibelieve it helps to choose a subject that you are passionate about to make the modelling process more enjoyable. The Legend of Zelda series were some of my favourite video games growing up, perhaps even the reason I got into the world of 3D in the first place. I've always wanted to give this character a crack as I found the dark nature of the game was so engrossing, and always had me wanting to see it in modern-era graphics.

In this tutorial, you'll learn the workflow and key techniques I use to make high-quality, standout portfolio pieces. We'll go through all the elements of creating a full character, from blocking out the model, sculpting detail, organising the model for Substance Painter, and finishing it up in Maya with V-Ray.

There are also some great additional tips along the way, and I've included my ZBrush interface and custom toolbar setup that I use during the tutorial, which has all the best tools
