■ Cygnet Colour Rush DK (100% acrylic, 100g/360m), 4 balls of Sunburst (0654)

■ Cygnet DK (100% acrylic, 100g/298m), 2 balls of Black (0217), 1 ball of each: Jam (1910), Sunshine (0184), Light Mauve (1048), Kiwi (0303), Apple (6711), Cerise (0134), Aqua (0211), Coral (0422)

■ A 4mm (US G/6)

TENSION

Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required

MEASUREMENTS

Blanket measures approx 145x165cm (57x65in)

NOTES

Blanket is made up of 56 Squares. Squares are worked in rows and joined together as you go (JAYG) while working the edging round. Refer to the image below when joining the Squares together. A Border is worked around the Blanket at the end.

SQUARES (MAKE 56)

Use Sunshine as Yarn A on all Squares. Make 7 Squares using each of the following colours as Yarn B: Jam, Sunshine, Light Mauve, Kiwi, Apple, Cerise, Aqua and Coral. Using Yarn B, ch27.

Row 1 (RS) 2tr in third ch from hook, (skip 2 ch, 3tr in next ch) 7 times, skip 2 ch, 2tr in final ch, turn. [25 sts]

Row 2 (WS) Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), 3tr in sp before each 3-tr group, 3tr in sp before final 2 tr, tr in last st, change to Yarn A, turn. [26 sts]

Row 3 Ch3, tr in st at base of ch-3, skip first sp, 3tr in next 7 sps, 2tr in final st, turn. [25 sts]

Ch3, 3tr in sp before each 3-tr group, 3tr in sp before final 2 tr, tr in last st, change to Yarn B, turn.
