HOW A LOVE AFFAIR STARTED

Ican’t recall exactly what month of the year my passion for Alfasuds began, but I can pin it down to the spring of 1983. That’s now 40 years ago – blimey! At that time I was mad into Minis and I even had one, a rusty hand-painted black 1967 850. But in early 1983 we moved from Somerton to Bucklebury near Newbury and the Mini made its final voyage to Smiths scrapyard whilst I was at school.
