APPLIQUÉ QUILTS

ppliqué is one of the most creative patchwork techniques, having no limitations of shape as pieces from one fabric are cut out and sewn onto another. It has a long history as a technique in Britain and has been used in not only coverlets and bed curtains, but also banners and other heraldic devices in earlier times.
