‘It was rather a relief to wear zero make-up!’

My life at the moment seems to alternate between high glamour and a low life of murder and mayhem.

I’ve just filmed a guest role in the second series of the seaside murder mystery series , and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. I play a still-grand former star – the 1970s were her! It was rather a relief to wear zero make-up for that. I have so much to thankand for but, in some ways, they rather pigeonholed me as a glamour puss. I relished stripping away the warpaint on.
