MATERIALS
• Medium (worsted) weight yarn: 6 oz/300 yds/170g white 3 oz/150 yds/85g each purple and orange 2 oz/100 yds/57g light green 1 oz/50 yds/28g each dark green, red and black
• Size l/9/5.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Clean 2-liter soda pop bottles with caps: 3
• small bags of marbles: 3
• Felt: 3 sheets orange 2 sheets black
• Electrical lamp assemblies for 7-watt bulbs: 3
• Nylon knee-high stockings:3
• Orange plastic spider (optional)
• 1 -inch pieces artificial doll lashes: 2
• Pair of comical eyes
• 18-gauge floral wire: 18 inches
• Craft glue or hot-glue gun
• Polyester fiberfill

3 dc = 1 inch; 5 dc rows = 3 inches
PATTERN NOTES
Join with a slip stitch unless otherwise stated.
Chain-3 at beginning of double crochet rounds counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
1. For head shaping, stuff toe of one stocking with fiberfill until it fits inside head of Cover; tie knot in stocking below fiberfill. Push knot into center of stuffed stocking to make an indention that fits over neck of bottle. Insert stuffed stocking inside of head with indentation at center bottom
2. Place marbles in bottle for weight; secure bottle cap on bottle
3. Place cover over bottle, pushing neck of bottle up into indention at bottom of head. Mark area on bottle at center back opening on Cover; remove cover. Keeping hole small enough to secure light fixture, cut out marked area on bottle.
4. Place Cover over bottle adjusting head and aligning center back opening on Cover with hole on bottle.
5. Insert light fixture through hole on bottle, securing clamps on sides of light fixture to edges of the hole.
