Backfire

Thanks for printing the obituary for Kerry Freeman in the December issue. It was interesting that it was on the same page as the obituary for Chris Ritter. I am also a member of AACA and know the museum and library well.

When Chilton was sold, Kerry, as editor-in-chief, was the one who contacted AACA and arranged for the transfer of much of the Chilton archives to the AACA Library. He didn’t want all the documents to get lost in the commotion and felt they were valued assets to be used by all in the hobby.
