BEST. TRAIL BIKE. EVER

According to the latest figures released by the Trail Bike Rider Australia Inc (TBRA), a mob fighting for our right to ride, there are over 600,000 trailbike riders in Australia. Sadly, most I see are on bikes that don't suit trailriding. Think 500s and motocrossers.

Long gone are the days of 450cc four-strokes ruling the trails, mid-cap four-strokes and easy-to-ride two-strokes, are the ducks nuts when it comes to trailriding. Don't worry, I hear those of you who say, “I can't afford a new bike. My 2005 Honda CRF450X does just fine!”

The last bike I owned before starting with ADB where I have the benefit of riding every single dirtbike on the market, was a 2004 Yamaha WR450F. I couldn't afford a fancy new machine (at the time my WR450F was about five years old), and I was stuck in that 450F mentality. The year was 2009 and the modern 350F hadn't lobbed up yet but even still, I don't think I would have ever switched from a 450F to a 350F. A 250F or 450F was all I knew.
