We will have put away our summer and autumn kit and prepare for less pleasant weather, shooting predominantly over rape. We have some red clover here too and I’ll be keeping an eye on that to see if it presents a day’s decoying, but the pigeons will be mostly be feeding on rape.
From hot to cold
The autumn drilling has finished and there was only a slight chance of some winter corn being put in if the farmer got caught out by wet weather. I don’t know of a single pigeon shooter who doesn’t miss the warm days decoying over
