Defending our sport

There are a few things that seem to be guaranteed in life, and one of the lesser-known ones is that government bodies are incapable of administering and issuing complex licences when it comes to wildlife. Over the past few years we have seen fiasco after fiasco with regards to general licences in England and Wales. We have had so many changes and many of them were done at the very last minute – in one instance, a change to the general licence was put forward less than one week before its implementation.

That particular instance lead to Defra
