Mclean scorches to a hat-trick

SANDY MCLEAN and Gino F took their third consecutive grand prix win, while the on-form Scottish rider also landed the top spot in the seven-year-old final with Katoulon JL.

Sandy and 11-year-old Gino F faced some quality opposition in the 1.40m main event - Paul Barker and his top horse Green Grass picked up reserve and Anthony Condon was third with Queen Mary - but they still finished an impressive 3.05sec clear of the company.

Sandy attributed the combination's run of success to a new fitness regime.
