This is a very different project from your previous collaboration with Sam on Telling Lies. How do you approach scoring a game that’s essentially three films in one?

We had eight to ten hours of film footage, with three movies, all spanning different genres. So logistically and on a practical level – and [considering] the mechanics of the game – Icouldn’t score three feature films. So what we decided to do was to have in-depth conversations about the story, the character and the overarching themes of the game. And we took each film and decided to write a theme
