FIRE SAFETY

LETTER OF THE MONTH

Dear John,

At a recent retirees meeting fire safety was the subject. I thought then of our caravan. The door and kitchen are in the back, our beds in the front and the battery is under my bed with venting to the boot, ground.

The standard fire extinguisher is under the table, near the door and our fire blanket is in the kitchen. I fitted a CO3 sensor near our beds. If a fire was to start, we could be “cooked” before we could get out.

What more could we do to improve our safety? There is little room near
