RECIPE TO SUCCESS

Pulling into the McDonald’s drive-thru, I was exhausted.

Checking the time on the dashboard, I yawned widely.

It was 9pm and I still hadn’t had my dinner yet.

I had just set up my own business, Abby’s Cakes and Cupcakes in July 2020, and it was consuming all my time.

Baking had always been a hobby of mine since I was a little girl.

I had always loved baking for my friends and family, and this passion had continued right into adulthood.

But strangely, I never had a huge sweet tooth – I just like seeing my loved ones happy.

A little taste of my bakes here and there was enough for me.

Previously working as a GP receptionist, I had made it clear I was only there to save money for my true calling – opening a cake shop!

And now that goal was about to become a reality.

I worked into the evening every night, but I knew
