Classic Fords and rarity enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship: extraordinary tends to equal desirable. And desirable usually means valuable.
But what defines rarity? Is it numbers built, or how many are left? Is it about homologation specials or limited editions? Perhaps foreign oddballs or legendary aftermarket conversions are rarest of all. Of course, some old Fords are rare because they were rubbish; many because they rotted away; plenty more because they were once omnipresent, yet survivors have suddenly become almost-extinct.
