With the workshop heater and a hot mug of tea doing their best to keep the chills at bay, Paul began by asking Darren how long the team had been together.

PG – So, how many years have you guys been Team DSC?

DS – Well it started really in 2016 when just Hammy (Steven Hamilton), Barrie (Braithwaite) and I came back, and then in 2017 Justin Price and Gravesy joined us. At the tail end of 2017 we helped out Steve Wright at Cadwell, and sorted his bike a bit on the Saturday night and on Sunday he got a third or fourth which was the best he’d got in a long time. So the team built over 2017/2018, which wasn’t a conscious thing – it just happened. Graham Tatton rocked up at Mallory and I’d not seen him in 25 years but we just hit it off like we did as youngsters.
