“Have you seen the FJ?” or “You’ve got to check out the FJ” must have been among the most common statements heard over the first few days of Repco Beach Hop 22. Those comments were with good reason. While most people know what an FJ Holden looks like, this is certainly not it. The brainchild of Robert McVicker, a Kiwi who has called Aussie home for many years, the car was a knockout from the time it touched down on Kiwi soil.

Being well aware of the spectacle that Repco Beach Hop has become, Robert knew the best place to debut the three-and-a-half-year build was at Repco Beach Hop 22. The trip was well worth the effort, too, as not only did the car win plenty of adoration from Kiwi fans but it also ended up taking home the much-coveted award of Top Car Overall.
