TOTAL FILM CLASSIC
Pan American Airlines pilot, hospital physician and assistant state attorney general. These are the career paths allegedly (and fraudulently) followed by teenage runaway Frank William Abagnale Jr. over half a century ago, all while simultaneously cashing millions of dollars in bad cheques. Such was the outlandishness of his story – first recounted in autobiography – the world’s foremost filmmaker, Steven Spielberg, spun it into a crime-comedy vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio in 2002.
