LOS ANGELES — When Kawhi Leonard checked back in with 6 minutes 28 seconds left in the fourth quarter Saturday afternoon at Crypto.com Arena, the game hung in the balance and the Clippers needed someone to take control.

Leonard put his stamp on the result, delivering at the right moment and leading the Clippers to a 102-93 victory over the Washington Wizards. The win was the fourth in five games
