Mark Denlinger never thought he’d find himself restoring vintage trailers. But, as they say, sometimes things happen.
Denlinger was born in Lancaster County, Pa., 36 years ago and not long after, his family moved to rural Vermont. While his dad had several ’55 Chevys, they had been sold by the time Mark arrived. Family life has a habit of getting in the way of things.
However, the “car gene” was passed from father to son and Mark was inspired by pictures of his dad’s vintage Chevys. He also credits a neighbor who owned a ’27 Essex hot rod for piquing his interest in older iron.
“I’d find myself stopping by and checking out what was going on in his garage,” Mark said. “Before you know it, he taught me how to work on cars — even welding.” The experience turned
