Impaled at sea
Muhammad Idul, was 16 in 2020, when he and his friend Sardi were out on fishing boats at night. Around 500 metres from shore, Sardi turned on a torch.
Within seconds, a needlefish jumped out of the water, stabbing Muhammad.
Entering the left side of the boy’s neck, the fish’s razor-sharp snout pierced through to the base of his skull at the back of his head.
