OLD SCHOOL

IN MY last column I railed against what I perceived as a cynical marketing exercise based on what is called “a heritage brand name”. There is nothing seriously groundbreaking about either Norton’s relaunched Commando or its slightly updated V4SV Superbike.

Both are non-Euro 5 compliant, at least a generation of development behind similar models from rival companies, and rely on an emotional response to extract a premium price
