KILLING FLAWS

I’m after a bit of help in understanding the persistence of design flaws or poor detailing in the mainstream guitar market by the big companies and those that are “inspired by” or just copy them.

The ageing craze baffles me, but nothing looks cooler to me than a Les Paul or an SG. The continual inclusion of original design flaws that golden era guitars had I simply don’t get, though. We all know that the heel and cutaway on a Les Paul restricts upper-fret access, and if we had no option but to be honest we would all say it’s not a clever design. While the likes of Patrick Eggle, PRS and even Sid Poole many years earlier
