I love shooting over freshly drilled fields. Springtime is my absolute favourite, but autumn certainly comes a close second. Most years we’ll get a good six-week window for shooting as we follow the farmer and his drill from field to field.

This year’s drilling has been completed in record time because of the dry weather. Usually we can count on one or two fields being drilled and then rain stops play for a day or two before the next field can be tackled.
