Tea in Strasbourg

The seat of the European Parliament, the 2,000-year-old city of Strasbourg in the Alsace region of Northeast France is rich with French and German heritage. Its historic city center, called the Grande Île, and its new town, Neustadt, which was built under German administration toward the end of the 19th century, are on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. And its Notre-Dame Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. A boat trip on the Ill River to explore the famous district of La petite France with its half-timbered houses, tanneries, stone bridges, and the Vauban Dam is sure to bring many surprises. There are more than 20 centuries of history to discover on foot or bicycle, too, not to mention great places to eat and to enjoy tea. From posh hotels to friendly tearooms, take a seat and follow the guide!
