ENRIKO ITAUMA struck super-heavyweight gold as England enjoyed a bestever World Youth Championships in Spain.

England came home with seven medals – eclipsing the six the team won in 2018 – and two were gold.

Amber Moss-Birch took the female gold at 80kgs and Damar Thomas only just missed out on winning another.

The 92kgs final between the lofty southpaw and Adrian Ricardo Fresneda (Cuba) was decided in the final three minutes. Four of the five judges scored a desperately close round for the Cuban, preferring his single punches to Thomas’s volume.
