Go! Drive & Camp

Three passes and a poort

Your journey begins in Rhodes, a beautiful town founded in 1894 in the Eastern Cape. Former mining magnate and prime minister Cecil John Rhodes was honoured with the town's name, obviously in the hope he would support the settlement and provide financial assistance. But flattery got them nowhere and Cecil couldn't have cared less.

Rhodes is the perfect base for exploring the area's mountain passes, 4x4 trails, and flyfishing in the Bell Refer that winds through the town.
