Over the course of three decades, two massive floods, long hours and some costly lessons later, Montagu Caravan Park has emerged as one of the Western Cape's most popular destinations. And it's just a two-hour drive from Cape Town.
At first glance, the reasons seem obvious. The site is tidy. It's clean, boasts top-notch facilities, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there's a whole host of activities to keep both young and old entertained. Just a heads up: as with any well-run campsite, don't expect to find a spot by just showing up. Many visitors become repeat guests, and it's a popular spot for caravan clubs.
