SANDY MCLEAN and Gino F left nothing to chance in the grand prix feature class as they stormed home with six seconds to spare to clinch the £1,500 top prize on Saturday evening.

Course-designer Nigel Jess's opening round produced just five clears from 23 combinations, with the testing 1.40m track producing faults throughout.

Will Walker and nine-year-old gelding I'm The Special One AK were third to go in the jump-off and posted a competitive clear on 42.91sec to take the lead.
