NATIVE HARDBILLS
OUT of my nine young bullfinches, I have one and As I write, my second- and third-round youngsters are still moulting, but they have declared their colours and there's one brown plus eight red. It's usual to get more of one gender than the other but never before have I had such an imbalance.
The first two of my three young goldfinches look like hens, with the possibility that all will be hens. So it's not quite as I would want,
