Put the kettle on because drinking coffee may be linked to a, which found that mild to moderate daily consumption of coffee could extend life compared with coffee avoidance. The researchers analysed the coffee drinking habits of more than 400,000 people and followed them for an average of 12 and a half years. Results show that drinking two to three cups of coffee per day – including instant, ground and decaffeinated varieties – was linked with a lower likelihood of death from any cause, as well as a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
