The researchers analysed the coffee drinking habits of more than 400,000 people and followed them for an average of 12 and a half years. Results show that drinking two to three cups of coffee per day – including instant, ground and decaffeinated varieties – was linked with a lower likelihood of death from any cause, as well as a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
