Founded in 1967 by the Benelli brothers, Benelli Armi SpA is well known for their extensive shotgun range. In 2000, the mighty Pietro Beretta acquired Benelli. Twenty years later, Benelli produced their first bolt-action rifle – the subject of this test, the Lupo. The rifle is currently produced in six calibres: .243 Win, 6,5mm CRM, .270 Win, .308 Win, .30-06 SPRG and .300 Win Mag. The test rifle featured here is chambered in .308 Win. The Lupo has proved to be very popular in the USA and Australia. Eager to see what all the fuss is about, I put Benelli’s sub-MOA guarantee to the test.
The Lupo’s black synthetic stock is made from a combination of an aluminium alloy chassis and techno-polymer
