Acrylics: explore, develop and paint

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Welcome to an exciting new seven-part acrylic painting series with the theme of marine life. In each issue, I will be exploring basic acrylic painting techniques as well as some creative and fun ways to paint sea creatures into interesting ocean backgrounds. Follow along with my step-by-step demonstrations to apply these techniques in producing some colourful paintings.

Each article introduces a new technique and builds on and practises acrylic painting skills from previous articles. We begin this series by discovering a simple method for creating abstract artwork inspired by the amazing colours and markings of tropical fish.
