Fordson E27N revisited

DIFFICULTY RATING

This restoration has been going on for a long time and many parts have been stored in the shed, including the air filter assembly.

In the previous issue I had pulled the air filter out from long-term storage and inspected it, having experienced oil seeping from the bowl in the past. This was due to corrosion making the base of the bowl porous, and I had attempted to repair it in the past unsuccessfully.

Now, with a completely new base welded into place, I turned my attention to the rest of the unit. This was basically in good order, just requiring the old paint to be sanded off and some fresh paint applied!
