Gardening for health Helping hospitals

For a long time I’ve understood how powerful gardening can be in helping physical and mental health, but I’ve been frustrated it’s not really been recognised in wider society. However, things are changing and in recent years both the public and the NHS have started to engage with the idea, opening our minds to the role gardens and the wider landscape can play in improving health. On a personal level, my family has experienced a couple of scary years in the health department and, if I’m honest, I’m not sure where I or my family would be today without the help of so many wonderful people.
