We had all hoped the pandemic would end with the beginning of 2021, but unfortunately last year turned out to be just as trying as the one before. Yet despite the restrictions placed on business, Australian interior design flourished, and designers and architects produced outstanding work that set new benchmarks. The industry’s creative spirit is as rich as ever, as this year’s Australian Interior Design Awards demonstrates. Also apparent is a renewed emphasis on personal connection, craftsmanship and comfort, all themes that characterize the cream of this year’s best projects.
