Q&A

Q. [With regard to the May 15 question about expansion tanks], in 1963, I bought a 1954 Corvette off a used car lot in Albany, Ga., for $500! It was an original, running Blue Flame six with Powerglide. Because of the low hood, the expansion tank was attached to the side of the valve cover. It worked fine for as long as I had the six in it — not long — much to my sorrow today.

— Jim Graf, Warner Robins, Ga.
