The twin-cam 4.5-litre petrol-powered 80 Series Cruiser adorned the front cover of this issue, and tester, Geoff Middleton, was impressed with this Sahara VX, rating it as one of the best long-distance tourers on the market. I wouldn’t mind having one now!
We tested a Series 2 Lada Niva, and while the brand and each and every version of it had a lot of idiosyncrasies, they were pretty capable off-road. Q
