CARB CONUNDRUM

Q: I have a large-ish Ultrasonic bath. I have tried various chemical additives for carb cleaning and other alloy cleaning, most of which do clean the dirt, crud, goo, etc., off things, but my problem is the finish left on the alloy surface; they always end up dull, sometimes stained, not matt as if bead/sand-blasted, just dull.
