There’s something about taking on certain challenges that it’s hard to put your finger on. Part of it is undoubtedly the sheer determination it takes to find a way through any problem in life, but another part might be to try and prove someone wrong. Let’s face it, most people, when told not to do something, or that something isn’t possible, take the first opportunity to do it anyway, just to show that it can be done.

In the early days of the UK and European VW scenes, there were countless people searching around local scrapyards, looking for wheels that most people wouldn’t bother with, and then trying to work out ways to fit then to their VWs. Saab, Peugeot, Skoda, BMW, you name it, someone tried to fit ’em.
