30 years ago...

We’re stepping into the VolksWorld time machine this month and heading back three decades to December 1992, the year that saw Uncle Keith lift the Modified class crown in the VWDRC, Peter Bailey launch the Chesil Speedster, the German Car Company move to Southend Airport and Welsh “madcap fund raiser”, Barry Kirk, change his name to Captain Beany (don’t ask…).

Car features were a little on the stock side, starting with Karl Metcalfe’s Pastel Green ’53 Zwitter cover car, which he pulled car was a barn find) and cost just one thousand pounds.
